According to Sri Lankan Examination Department sources 2018 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination (උසස් පෙළ විභාගය A/L 2018) will be held from August 6 to September 1 this year(2018). Official details will be updated later.Relevant scheduled & Timetable for the 2018 Advanced Level examination will be released later to www.doenets.lk Sri Lanka Examination Department official website.
Department of Education is focused on providing students sitting for the GCE A/Level Examination, with an additional time duration of 10 to 15 minutes to read and understand the question paper. This will be implemented from the next A/Level Examination that is to be held this August.
This additional time duration will be provided for the 3-hour question papers. Commissioner General of Examinations: B Sarath Pujitha says, this practice is seen in many countries. A special discussion was held at the Ministry of Education regarding this idea that was put forward by Minister of Education: Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. He added, this will be introduced for the O/Level Examination in future.
