Minister of University Education Lakshman Kiriella says Sri Lanka government hopes to release 2015 A/L Z-score cut off marks for university entrance during August month.
In response to a question raised by JVP MP Bimal Ratnayake in Parliament today, Minister Lakshman Kiriella said several rounds of discussions have taken place in this regard and hope to release as soon as possible.
During the parliamentary session, MP Ratnayake said the Ministry of Education should consider releasing the 2015 GCE Advance Level Examination Z-score cut-off marks for respective universities and faculties before the commencement of the 2016 A/L exams.
He said it could help students hoping to sit for the examination for the second or third attempt to make an informed decision.
The JVP Parliamentarian noted the early release of 2015 Z-score cut-off marks will reduce the number of duplicate application for universities.www.lankauniversity-news.com
