5 Ocean University (Sagara Vishawa Vidyalaya Tangalle) Treasure hunters nabbed
5 Sagara university students were arrested by Police while blasting a rock in Amban Ganga Forest reserve with the intention of finding treasure.
The suspects were produced before the Matale Magistrate and ordered to remand till January 21.
Students were the final year of Ocean University Tangalle and the Kattadiya also a university student.
The suspects had also brought offerings and other material including a Cock,flowers, betel leaves, coconuts, fruits etc needed for a ritual performance before they commenced the excavation.
